UEFA complains about high Ukraine hotel prices

Uefa president Michel Platini accuses “bandits and crooks” for bumping up hotel prices in Ukraine ahead of the Euro 2012 football tournament.

“It’s annoying to have made a lot of investment and then say to people that they can’t come because there are bandits and crooks who want to make a lot of money during this Euro”

Euro 2012 which will take place between 8th June 2012 and 1st July 2012 is being hosted jointly by Poland and Ukraine.

Kiev will host games at the 65’000 capacity Olympic Stadium including 3 matches in Group D, the quarter final and the final.

EURO 2012 group D matches to be played in Kiev are:

  • Ukraine V Sweden on 11th June 2012
  • Sweden V England on 15th June 2012
  • Sweden V France on 19th June 2012
